A familiar, middle-sezed tree with a billowing cumulus crown, almost but not quite evergreen in Delhi. A short trunk and dense canop6y make it wind-firm and an excellent shade tree. One of the 13 exalted species chosen to line avenues in Imperial Delhi. Not native to Delhi but naturalized now even on the Ridge.
