Conservation of India’s wildlife and expansion and consolidation of protected area is priority mandate of my ministry :

Shri S Regupathy is Minister of State for Environment and Forests, GOI. Environment has been separated from forests as the Ministry is bifurcated under two different Ministers, only issues related to forest have been replied by the Ministry. In an exclusive interview with Shri Amal Das, Editor-in-Chief, UTS’ VOICE, Shri Regupathy reflected his concern and focus mainly on how to bring 33% of the geographical area under forest cover and preserve wildlife.
